We think of Patrick as the Patron of Ireland… but he was also one of the earliest missionaries of the Western (Celtic in this case) Church. Ultimately, he led to a conversion of many tribes, and ultimately led to the Celtic Missions movement later in the first millennium. Definitely someone who deserves more than a drinking day in his memory.
