While I am SLOWLY working on my new book “Slow Missions” (obviously I am practicing what I preach), there are a couple of other books that I had a MUCH SMALLER role in that I would like to promote:
DRINKING COFFEE WITH SOME CONTEMPORARY EVANGELICAL FILIPINO THEOLOGIANS. by Francis Jr. S. Samdao. This book is the first book published under Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary (PBTS Press) of which I am the editor-in-chief (at least at the moment). It came out the first week in January 2026. However, this week, it is now available worldwide through Amazon.com. Dr. Samdao was one of my students, and now I am happy he has been making such an impact in Filipino theology. I hope that the topic is obvious based on the title. If not, you can go to Amazon and read a sample.

NOT FINISHED YET: FINDING PURPOSE, DIRECTION, AND FAITH IN LIFE’S LATER CHAPTERS. by Barry Phillips. This book is written by a missionary who has served in the Philippines for decades. Now in his later years, this book acts as a reflection on what it means to be a servant of God as one ages. The book is very reflective and honest, avoiding the extremes that one hears regarding “retirement” or aging in ministry. I was a reader and reviewer for the book, and as one who is not very far behind Barry in age, must highly recommend to others who are, or soon will be, joining us.
This book officially launches in a couple of days, (February 16, 2026) but its Amazon page is already accessible and pre-order is possible.
